6-21-09 Happy Father's Day and the MN Zoo :)

Happy Father's Day to the best daddy Madeleine could ever ask for! To celebrate his big day, we gave daddy a coffee grinder and new coffee to try it out, and then took him out to breakfast at the Canadian Honker after church. We all enjoyed our eggs and potatoes :) While getting into the car after breakfast, Madeleine decided that her bear needed to be safe, so she put Amelia Bearhart in the car seat, and the covered her with a blanket. She's so sweet!

As I am typing this - Madeleine is running around in her new favorite outfit - monkey pajamas from Terri and Karenna Lokken. She has never been so attached to an article of clothing before! she screams when I take her out of her PJs and begs to put them on again when we get home. She even wore the shorts under her dress to church today. :) She's also just running around singing the "WASH the spider out" part of "Itsy Bitsy Spider" - she's so funny :) Sometimes she mixes her songs together. Yesterday she sang "Bear Down... WASH the spider out!" Its amazing the amount of pure joy an almost 2 year old can bring just by being her entertaining little self.

Yesterday we met up with some friends at the Minnesota Zoo. What fun we all had! We saw lots of animals, and there was an adorable farm area where we could go in and pet the goats. Madeleine did her level best to pet every single goat there.

It was a beautiful, sunny day, and we made the best of our sunscreen! I'm proud to say that no one got burned, and we definitely got our steps in for the day! Enjoy the video at the end, and happy Father's day to three other special dad's out there - Craig, John, and Jason!!
