This has been quite the busy weekend! Mom and Dad, Stacy, Jason and Jacob came on Friday to celebrate New Year's Eve. We did a fun eveing meal of heavy appetizers and played Trivial Pursuit before leaving the kids with Mom and Dad while Stacy, Jason, Ted and I went out to see a band and ring in the new year. It was a blast!! Here we are all glittered up and ready for the evening's festivities.
The next morning, Jake and Madeleine were sharing a delicious breakfast of apples, bananas, and some of the vegetables from the previous nights' veggie tray. Madeleine took a bite of a tomato and it squirted all over Jake. Jake was completely unphased and just kept chowing on his 'nanas. :)
Later in the day, we headed to the hotel everyone was staying at and did some pool time.
Today was the big day - we were very blessed to have so many caring friends and family come to help us welcome Julia into the church. We're especially thankful for my cousin Jenn and Babs for taking pictures!! They did me proud and I had a load of really great ones to choose from.
After the service, we headed to Whistle Binkies South for a lovely reception.
Julia found her happy place and checked out. She figured she had done her part. She was so calm and lovely during the service, and a gem during the reception. We're very blessed to have such a calm baby!
