Every year since Madeleine was born, we have gone to Oxbow Park on Mother's Day. We love hiking, and the bluebells are usually blooming this time of year. Due to the late winter, we're a little early for the fields of blue blooms, but we found a patch for our annual picture. We hiked a new loop, and will undoubtedly do that one again! It was 3 miles, and aside from a tiny bit of whining from the littlest Schmidt, we had a great hike! We were a little sad to see all the damage that the big winter storm caused. There were loads of trees down and obstacles to navigate. We know that the park will recover, though, and are looking forward to many more visits this summer!
Doesn't this melt your heart? I love it!
It's easier with a little help from dad!
I wanted a picture with my girls. They wanted to watch the water rushing below the bridge. And NOT take a picture. They were giggling the whole time they were doing this.
My gorgeous girl.
About two miles in. J decided that she should be carried.
Daddy gets big time bonus points for hiking AND hauling!
Madeleine had decided she LOVES monkey bars. She just trucks right across!
My cutie patootie
Happy Mothers Day to all the wonderful moms in our lives
