Anyone remember this? Wasn't it like yesterday? No - it was the very first day of school.
So, fast forward 9 months, and our girl has now finished her first year of school!!
The school had a massive "last day blast" where they played games, did relays, had treats and just really had a wonderful carnival to kick off summer vacation. Parents were invited to attend, so Ted and I both went. Madeleine was pleased as punch to have BOTH parents there, and we are going to hold on to that feeling of being wanted as long as we can! So, cheers to summer! Hopefully the weather will warm up and we'll have some grand memories before our girl starts first grade in the fall. Ted and I are both a little sad... it seem like Kindergarten is the last year of having a little girl, and now we have a big grade school-er! It's been such a fun adventure watching her grow and become more independent, though, and we're looking forward to the coming years.
Hey now... I'm not ready for that sassy hips, and a boy's undivided attention!
