I know it's been MONTHS since the last update... and I have a couple of posts brewing to get everyone up to speed on our extremely busy summer/fall (as a hint - I started on an MBA in July - it's been a bit time-consuming ;).
But this is actually a recent post! After 10 years of marriage, Ted and I decided to take a vacation together - just for grown ups. Stacy and Jason joined us at the Trump hotel in Las Vegas, and we renewed our vows on Fremont Street Saturday afternoon. The ceremony itself was lovely - our officiant Mary talked about how we had come a long way in 10 years; how we are different people than we were when we first met, and how our lives have gotten busier with careers and small children. She went on to say that despite the changes, our love has remained constant, and the changes have brought about great fulfillment and untold amounts of joy. We promised each other continued love, respect and friendship. We reaffirmed the unending circle of love represented by our rings, and we sealed our re-commitment with a kiss.
As the ceremony had been progressing, a crowd gathered. When we kissed, cheers and clapping surrounded us - it was so fun/cool/amazing! So here's a little narrative of our vacation - enjoy the pictures!
Ted was very impressed with the TV in the mirror in our bathroom. Of course, he has it tuned to the weather channel.
We got to do a very little bit of gambling … the good luck sign didn’t help at all :)
Friday night we had cocktails at the Stratosphere – very cool! Our friend knows the DJ, so we had reserved tables/seating

Saturday was hair/makeup and vow renewal!

Then we hit the strip for some sightseeing, including the Bellagio fountains – which were amazing!

On Sunday, we did a little pool time, and then headed home. It was a fantastic weekend!
