Clearly, Madeleine is dreaming about the Packers here. I call this her "touchdown baby" sleeping pose :) She naps like this more often than not.
We had a nurse visit today from a public health nurse. She weighed the princess, who has gained more than a pound since birth! She is now 9 lbs, 6 oz and 21 1/2 inches long. She was an absolute angel for the nurse visit, alert and looking around for most of the time, then feeding, then sleeping. Mary (the nurse) got to see Madeleine's whole repertoire. She's going through a growth spurt right now, which accounts for the more frequent feedings, but Mary said that she should slow down again in a week or so, and then have another spurt around 6 weeks and again around 3 months. We learned a ton about different programs here in Rochester, and really enjoyed talking to the nurse. She says we're doing very well and have a very sweet baby, but we already knew that :)
