Today was relaxing and fun. Ted worked the morning show, but had the noon show off, due to Wimbledon. He came home and took a nap, then we all went to the pool for the first time! What fun! Ted and I are just now noticing our lovely sun burns, but luckily Madeleine escaped with nary a tan. There's something to be said for big floppy hats. :)
A quick update re: the ER trip. We had a follow-up appointment on Wednesday, and the pediatrician did not agree with the ER doc's diagnosis. She said that lymph nodes are not usually above the jaw like that and wanted the princess to be seen by a specialist. On Thursday, we saw the pediatric ENT doctor who agreed that Madeleine's bump is just not normal, so she ordered a CT scan. Madeleine has to be sedated for the scan, so we weren't able to get in on Thursday, and today is a holiday, so at 7:30 Monday morning we'll go in for a couple of hours. After the scan, they'll be able to tell us much more clearly what is going on and decide if they need to do a biopsy. It's surreal and scary and we're praying that it really is just a lymph node in a weird place, or that she fell and whacked her jaw when we weren't looking and it's a hematoma.
Anyway, that's the update for now. I'll post more when I know more.
