9/29/09 CHEESE

It has occurred to me that Madeleine has a new "picture face." When I grab the camera - she clenches her teeth ... and says "cheeeeeeese" with varying amounts of grimace :)

Also, I promised mom I'd post this cute story from last night. Madeleine was, apparently, done with dinner, but accepted the fact that she should probably be in her chair. Banking on the idea that her parents are not terribly observant, she got up, grabbed a giant teddy bear and put the bear at the table, then ran off to play. Ah, what a smart girl we have. She's one step away from putting a mannequin in her car to use the carpool lane! And another "cute-ism"... Now that our sweet girl is in her big girl bed, naps have become a little more of a challenge. So when we put her down, we close the door to muffle the noise, as well as to keep her in her room. She humors us by waiting an appropriate amount of time... and then knocks on her door and yells "Mommy! Mommy! Mommy!" to be released from her prison. :) Ted is very helpful in this situation. He goes to her room and knocks on the outside of the door and tries to get her to mimic his patterns :)
