9/11-14/09 Packer Bear game weekend

This weekend was a ton of fun! We headed to Sun Prairie with the ultimate goal of going to the Packer/Bear game on Sunday night - but we had the whole day Saturday free! We decided to go to New Glarus to visit the brewery, and when we arrived, we found that there was a beer and cheese festival going on - how perfect! So we had live music, sampled the wares and really enjoyed a beautiful, sunny day. Madeleine could NOT get enough of the fountain, and decided to wash her hair in it. She was too, too cute splishing and splashing away.

On Sunday, we tried a fun, new recipe for lunch - bread stick snails. They are super easy - and the recipe can be found here. Quite frankly, I think ours were even cuter than the pictures online. John and Barb arrived around 1:00 and had some lunch - and then Madeleine got settled with Amma (Sandi) and Oma (Barb). On a side note, nothing gets those two ladies hopping faster than Madeleine saying "Owie!" Yes, doll, we've all seen the scraped toe from over a week ago... but your loving grandmas will ooh and aah and kiss it anyway :)

John, Ted, Dad (Craig) and I all headed to Green Bay for some fine tailgating before the Packer Bear game. We feasted and enjoyed the BEAUTIFUL weather for a couple hours, then headed to the game. It was a great one! The game wasn't decided until the final two minutes, and the end score of Packers 21/Bears 15 doesn't really do the close game justice. Unfortunately, Brian Urlacher suffered a season-ending wrist injury in the first half... and I sure hope that it wasn't career-ending for the 10-year veteran! Now we're home again/home again and ready for the week. Enjoy the pictures!!
