Last night we had what we hope to be the first of many family game nights. We picked up Candy Land and played with Madeleine. We all loved it! Madeleine did a great job with helping us take turns, and Julia thought that it looked so fun that she's going to get big sister Chutes and Ladders for Christmas. 
Today started with a phone call to Ted asking him to come in and do live cut-ins for today's blizzard. Madeleine loves seeing Ted on TV, and when the dogs started barking to go outside, we decided that we'd let Julia nap in peace and Madeleine and I would take the dogs out together. What fun! We ate snow, caught snowflakes on our tongues, and then made snow angels. It was a blast! After playing hard for about 20 minutes, we headed inside for hot chocolate. It's been a busy morning and we're looking forward to more short stints in the snow before it gets too bitterly cold. Next weekend, we're looking forward to sledding!
