Today started with a mad dash to the starting line - literally!! I woke up at 8:38 and flew through the morning routine to get to the starting line of today's race by the 9:00 gun! Thank goodness we live in a town were everything is close! I got there, grabbed my race packet and pinned on my number while running to the starting line. I started sprinting the last 5 yards through the crowds when the gun went off and ran the first quarter mile pf the race on adrenaline alone! The race course was lovely and it was actually a great way to start the day.
After the race, we mowed the lawn and then got ready for a picnic and play date with our friend Ben. We went to Oxbow park and really enjoyed the animals and company. Plus, Ben's mom showed us a whole other part of the park we had never seen before! There's a place to cross the street and go see antelope and bison. We borrowed a wagon, and it was a big hit for the kids. Great afternoon, and now we're ready to hit the sheets early and start off a fun week tomorrow.
