1-1-07 Happy New Year and Pictures :)

First let me start with wonderful news - Madeleine will be getting another cousin, and they verywell may share a birthday! Ted's sister-in-law Jocelyn is pregnant and due 8-7-08. Both of her boys were pretty much right on the money with their due dates, so we'll see what happens in early August.

I guess you can figure out by now that the week 20 picture didn't happen :) We did visit Ted's family for Christmas, though, and had professional pictures taken while we were all together. That will have to suffice for week 20.



I also realize that I haven't really done any kind of updates about the princess lately. She is doing very well and just the smiliest, happiest baby I have ever seen! She's such a doll. She has rolled over several times, but won't do it on demand (she's a prima donna like that). She's also really vocal now, chattering away when she's happy and "talking" to whoever will listen. My parents gave her a Rainforest Jumperoo for Christmas, but let her "open" it while they were here for Thanksgiving, and she has been LOVING it! She jumps so high that the coils retract all the way and then she free falls until they reengage.

Lately, when Madeleine does tummy time, she's been sticking her butt in the air and getting her knees under her - it looks like crawling isn't far off. Ted and I will have to really get into gear with baby proofing the house when she's independently mobile.



Baptism is this weekend - and of course I'll post pictures next week. Until then, the Schmidt family wishes you a happy, healthy and prosperous 2008!
