1-30-08 Sitting (and falling over)

Madeleine is working hard on mastering sitting up. She does really well, but still needs a spotter. It seems like not so long ago she was a tiny infant, now she's eating solids and (almost) sitting!


My boss likes to call Madeleine "The happiest baby in the world." Well, even the happiest baby has an off day. Poor bear is not feeling well and has been really fighting a nasty cough and baby hoarse-ness. There is nothing sadder than listening to a hoarse baby try to cry. :*( You can really tell she doesn't feel well because she wasn't even interested in getting her hands in her mouth. She's very lethargic and just wants to sleep all day.

I think she's starting to feel better, though. She was smiling at the kind nurses at the children's R&R this morning. That's the free backup daycare for sick kids that we have here on-site. It's so nice working at a hospital! She's such a charmer, they all love her already.
