Last weekend at St. Luke's, we had a craft fair and carnival. I did face painting, and practiced on my own little dollies. It was such fun! M wanted to be Hello kitty, and J got a butterfly.
M's little friend Teryn wanted to be Hello Kitty too.
M did carnival games - here she's shooting a marshmallow to knock down cans.
Charlie wanted to be a cow ... only, I didn't know how to make a cow, so I did another kitty and told him he looked just like a cow. And then he said "moooooo" and the world was fine for one and all.
On Tuesday, J put on Ted's shoes and wanted to take Lucy for a walk. Bless her little doggie heart, Lucy was right there and ready to go.
Today I took the girls to a fall festival at Quarry Hill Nature Center. Ted was brewing beer, and so he stayed home, but the day was WAY to perfect outside to stay in for the girls. As we were hiking through the woods, M randomly says, "wouldn't it be funny if we found Amma and Appa out here?" ... um. Yes. Yes, that would be funny. And they'd probably have Aunt Kay with them this weekend :) For those keeping score at home, we did not find any family members in the woods.
We did find hotdogs and string cheese, though :)
We found terrariums full of turtles, frogs, fish and stuff.
And "face" painting ... or leg painting, if you ask nicely.

And rock climb!
Our girl did so well!!! I wasn't sure what to expect, but she got half way up the wall.
Then we toured a cave that was used for food storage for the old state hospital. It was pitch black in the caves, and we had our flashlights to see the signs and explore.
Julia was cracking herself up going "pbbbt!!"
Then M wanted to take some pictures, and got this cute one of me and J. The girls were SO good for the whole afternoon! We had a wonderful time at the festival, and will definitely add this to our "must do" list for next year.
