3-14-10 First Oxbow visit of the year

Oxbow was, as usual, a great outing! The day was just perfect to be outside. I had bundled up Madeleine in her spring coat, gloves, scarf and hat... only to leave all that stuff in the car! She had on a turtleneck and fleece top, and that was plenty! We enjoyed the pony, great cats, coyotes, wolves, otters and big birds! Mostly, it was just nice to be outside running around, though. We are so lucky to have such a neat (free!) place so close to our house. It's about a fifteen minute drive, which is just perfect. We can't wait for it to dry out a bit so we can get back out there for hiking!
