This weekend we were so busy! We started on Thursday night with Oktoberfest at Whistle Binkies. Of course, that meant polka, polka, polka!! Friday night we met mom and dad at the mall and shopped and picked out new curtains for the living room. The curtains are chocolate brown and then we put khaki colored shears behind them. They look stunning against our window and wall color! Thanks mom and dad for the lovely, wonderful anniversary gift!
Saturday, we went to a baby shower for Ted’s co-worker Axel and his wife Jen while Mom and Dad babysat the girls. Axel and Jen are expecting baby Lily to make her appearance in January of 2011. Saturday evening was a celebratory dinner at the Hubbel House for our seventh anniversary. It was our first date night since Julia was born, and we were thrilled that my parents were in town to watch the girls. We enjoyed prime rib (me) and raspberry chicken (Ted) and drinks, along with lovely company and conversation.
Sunday was a charity 5K walk raising funds and awareness for pancreatic cancer. Our group had nineteen walkers, including twelve adults and seven children aged six weeks to six years. It was a little chaotic, but we were glad to all be together. We also had family pictures taken on Sunday. What fun that was! We packed up the dogs and headed to Quarry Hill Nature Center to take a hike and enjoy the beautiful day outside. We just got a preview back today and are absolutely thrilled with our sneak peek. We can’t wait to see more! Check out Amanda's blog to see our sneak peek: http://amandakelloggphotography.blogspot.com/2010/09/baby-makes-four-southeastern-minnesota.html
After such a busy weekend, we needed Monday to relax and recover!
