Saturday was a wonderfully memorable day! It was Madeleine's first dance recital! Both sets of grandparents came to town to support her, and she did a great job. Amma and Appa brought purple flowers for our girl, and Madeleine loved them. Here are pictures with some important people in her life, including Miss Kathy, her dance teacher. 
The highlight of the day for Madeleine was her Dora cake! It had pink and purple frosting, and she insisted on candles. We all sang, "happy first dance recital" to Madeleine - with the tune of Happy Birthday. She blew out the candles at the end and we all enjoyed the dropped raspberry cake with chocolate mousse flling. Madeleine picked out raspberry sorbet and chocolate peanut butter ice cream to go with her cake.
