8-28-10 - busy days!

It's been a busy couple of days for the Schmidt clan!! On Friday, Julia rested up on her Amma blankie before we picked up Madeleine from daycare and came home to give Julia her first real bath. Julia was less than thrilled, but Madeleine sure enjoyed helping. After her bath, we dressed Julia and headed to GREEK FEST! OPA! It was a beautiful evening to eat outdoors, and we ordered Greek Fries (fries with Greek seasoning and feta), Gyros, Souvlakia (chicken kabob), and Mythos beer (for Ted) and then baklava sundaes for dessert. After dinner, Madeleine had a blast going down the giant inflatable slide!

This morning we woke up and had a very solemn occasion: a funeral for a dear lady from church who passed away from cancer earlier this week. Madeleine did pretty well during the funeral, and we took the opportunity to get a couple of family pictures while we were dressed up :) After the funeral, we came home and did a quick change before heading to the Mayo Civic Center for Sesame Street Live! It was good to have an occasion to get up and dance after trying so hard to be good (and quiet!!) during the funeral. Now were home with no more plans for the day. Tomorrow some friends are visiting Julia, but that should be pretty low key. Enjoy the pictures!
