12-29-06 "The Godfather"

Tonight we went tailgating at Phil and Elizabeth Larsen's house - we were hoping for a big Purdue win in the Champs Sports Bowl. When we arrived, meatballs, spring rolls and cookies in hand, we were greeted with effuse good wishes and hugs by a very excited Elizabeth. :) The house smelled yummy with taco dip and brats on the stove. The Larsens then bestowed upon BS the very first baby present we've received - a very cute set of coordinating Carter's onesies and a pair of little baby pants, and a very sweet long-sleeved onesie with puppy dogs pulling presents on sleighs for next Christmas. During the pre-game show, we asked Phil and Elizabeth if they would be BS's Godparents. They were very excited and said yes right away. Phil (who is a very quick wit) picked up on his role as "The Godfather" right away, and has decided to make BS an offer s/he can't refuse. lol. He was also wondering if that meant that they had to baby sit.
