12-31-06 Barefoot and Pregnant!

In a last minute decision, Ted and I headed to Sun Prarie yesterday morning to attend my folks' holiday open house. It was really fun to come and talk to friends and family - especially Mom and Dad's good friends Steve and Carolyn Aldridge! What a wonderful surprise that they were there! Steve went to high school with Dad and was the best man at my folks' wedding, and Carolyn was the vocalist - so they've known Mom and Dad FOR-EVER! :)

This morning, Ted and I woke up around 7:30 and he told me that he was hungry. I offered to make popovers, and he thought that sounded really good. It occured to me while we were talking that I would be "in the kitchen, barefoot and pregnant." We had a good laugh about that one! The popovers were delish, and we're getting ready to spend the last day of 2006 in leisure. We'll spend the morning with my folks, then leave here around one or two so we can get home before it's too dark. Tonight is the Packer/Bears game. Ted and I will watch it together, each cheering for our own team. (Go Pack!) I'm so lucky to have married such a good-natured man. We'll each be happy for the person whose team wins.
